Volunteer Teams Getting Involved
- Each house is built with the support of a team of 12 to 14 volunteers associated with an institution, organization, or group, such as a high school, a college, a church, an employee or friend’s group, or a service organization.
- A team lead from that institution organizes the volunteers and coordinates the schedule with the Cambiando Vidas project manager.
- For less than $2,000 per person, the team of volunteers covers all their in- country travel expenses (transportation, lodging, program facilitation, and meals) and finances the full cost of materials needed for the house they help build.
- Examples of institutions who have sent multiple teams over the years: Deerfield Academy, University of Scranton.
